How to Use
Select both dates and choose Days Between. Both inputs must be valid dates; empty dates produce a validation message.
Formula and interpretation
The result is the absolute elapsed-day difference, so reversing the dates gives the same answer. It includes weekends and holidays and does not count both endpoints inclusively. For an inclusive calendar-date count, add 1 to the displayed result yourself; this tool does not apply that adjustment.
Example
1 January to 11 January gives 10 elapsed days, or 11 calendar dates if both endpoints are counted. Reversing these dates still gives 10 days. The same date in both fields gives 0 elapsed days, or 1 inclusive calendar date.
Frequently asked questions
Does this calculate business days?
No. All calendar days count, including weekends and holidays.
Do time zones or clock changes affect this result?
These date-only inputs are compared as UTC dates, so local daylight-saving clock changes do not change the day count.
